Professor Wassmer has been a practicing attorney for over 25 years [admitted by examination to the Bars of Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey and Connecticut]. In addition Professor Wassmer has worked in a legal capacity as a paralegal, legal research assistant and legal liaison for approximately 10 years prior to commencing his formal legal education. In private practice Professor Wassmer previously served as both an Assistant County Solicitor to the County of Bucks as well as the Managing Partner of the Law Firm previously know as Wassmer & Hill, LLP (formerly Dommel, Hill and Wassmer, LLP). His areas of practice include: Civil Litigation, Corporate Counseling (organization and advising), Wills, Trusts and Estates, Criminal Law, Domestic and Family Law, Commercial Litigation, Tax, Real Estate Law, Bankruptcy, International Law related to importation, tariffs and customs, Municipal Law and Employment Law and Discrimination. Formerly Professor Wassmer was a member of the Nassau County NY Bar Association - Ethic's Committee and participated in authoring ethical opinions for members. In addition Professor Wassmer has been a member of the American Bar Association, PA Bar Association, New York Bar Association, NYC Bar Association, Trial Lawyer Association and the Federalist Society. Professor Wassmer has been an Adjunct at Bucks County Community College for over 10 years. In addition to having a JD Professor Wassmer also obtained an MBA in Finance [in an independent program] while working as a full time Trust Department specialist at the US Subsidiary of National Westminster Bank PLC. Professor Wassmer has also served as a Commissioner at the Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission, as well as a Board Member to the Bucks County Housing Development Corporation (a County Control Corporation whose goal is to provide housing for low income families and elderly individuals). Professor Wassmer is also a certified scuba instructor holding his certification from NAUI [National Association of Underwater Instructors]. Professor Wassmer's hobbies include Painting, Flying, Cycling, Skydiving and visiting Art Museums and Galleries.
