Bio:
Sarah Jakub holds a Bachelor’s Degree cum laude in Sociology and American Studies from Brandeis University, a Master’s Degree in Sociology from Temple University and a Juris Doctorate degree from CUNY School of Law at Queens College where she served as Executive Articles Editor of the New York City Law Review. Sarah has worked as a research assistant at the University of Pennsylvania Memory Disorders Clinic where she assisted those suffering from dementia. Sarah has also worked in law including working for a judge in family court in Brooklyn, New York where she reviewed abuse and neglect cases of children from all backgrounds.
At BCCC, she serves as Coordinator of the Criminal Justice Program of Study and currently enjoys teaching full-time where she teaches several courses online and in-person in both criminal justice and sociology. She is passionate about students succeeding and meeting their goals.
She has recently been published as an Acknowledged Reviewer in textbooks published by Oxford University Press and Sage Publishing including: Essential Criminal Law (2019), Career Guide in Criminal Justice (2019), Criminal Law and Procedure: A Courtroom Approach (2019) and Contemporary Criminal Law (2018). Her Editorial Review comments for Criminal Law: A Courtroom Approach have also recently been published on Amazon (2019).
