Part-time AV/Computer Classroom Support position to attend classes with student. The candidate will use/manipulate the software and/or AV equipment, at the direction of the student.
The primary responsibilities are to provide equal access to students with specific disabilities by assisting with moving, using, or manipulating the software/equipment. • To attend class every day with the student on time. • To move, use/manipulate the software and/or AV equipment, at the direction of the student. • To be able to accompany the student if project and/or in-class assignment is given at a different time or location due to student and instructor needs. • To communicate regularly with the Accessibility Office (TAO) team members as requested and as needed.
Hourly rate: $13.43
Position will remain open until filled.
Minimum Requirements Include:
- High school diploma or GED with some college coursework completed.
- Demonstrated communication, English grammar and spoken skills.
- Commitment in adjusting to student needs and disability Services guidelines
- Flexibility and reliability
- Knowledge of film and video equipment and software (i.e. - Adobe Creative Cloud, Pro Tools; knowledge of TV, film, video and audio equipment; Panasonic TV Studio cameras and switchers, DSLR cameras, audio recording equipment, microphones, MIDI devices, etc.)
- The ability to lift 20-50 pounds.
